If this sounds like you, then continue reading!As an Apollo Sports Teacher, your responsibilities will be:
- As an Apollo Sports Teacher, you will have the opportunity to positively impact children through physical activity and sports.
- Planning and implementing engaging art lessons for children aged 5-12, with a focus on beginner level.
- Plan and deliver fun, engaging sports activities tailored to different age groups (Pre-K - 5th grade) such as soccer, basketball, tennis, field hockey, etc
- Teach fundamental skills and rules of various sports, ensuring all children participate and enjoy.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by following appropriate guidelines and maintaining supervision.
- Develop age-appropriate sports activities that foster physical flexibility, teamwork, and fitness.
- Promote positive behavior and social interactions among children.
- Collaborate with other aftercare staff to ensure a cohesive program experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child development and best practices in sports education.
- Creating a positive and inclusive class environment allowing kids to feel valuable and supported.
- Follow designated schedule and curriculum, maintain a routine for students
- Assist with homework completion
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage and care.
- Ability to command respect and cooperation in an Elementary Classroom
- Must enjoy a variety of sports and have a strong desire to inspire young children.
- Understanding of various sports and physical activities suitable for children.
- Experience working with children, Pre-K to 8th grade.
- Experience in sports coaching or physical education, preferably with children is a plus
- Ability to create fun engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a group of children and maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Energetic, patient, and knowledgeable on how to share positive feedback.
- Ability to assess and solve problems associated with elementary-aged children.
- Ability to create and maintain a fun, caring, and responsive educational environment.
- Great ability to motivate and encourage kids.
