Job Category: Information TechnologyJob Description:NewmarkWe are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Product Manager to join the Occupier Solutions Technology team at Newmark focusing primarily on Buildings-Facilities Technologies. In this leadership role, you will drive the differentiating vision for core domains of technology, set and maintain technology product strategy and roadmaps, and support Occupier Solutions' growth strategy by working with internal stakeholders, technology partners and clients directly to consistently deliver best-in-class technology solutions. As a technology product or technology domain expert, you'll collaborate closely with Newmark business development, client account management, service line management and other core technology teams such as implementation and support to align application architects, domain experts, data scientists, and product leaders to design, develop, and scale solutions that enhance business value and spark innovation.Responsibilities:Job Duties: Strategy & DefinitionThe Occupier Solutions Technology (OST) Product Manager is responsible for establishing a firm grasp of Facility Management, Smart Building, Energy Management, Sustainability and ESG, and other Buildings or Facilities focused technology solution capabilities factoring in direct Occupier customer needs while aligning to other preferred technologies in the Newmark OST technology stack. The OST Product Manager designs the functional and technical solutions that allow Newmark OS service teams to attract, enable and optimize client service solutions and delivery within timely and cost-effective format. This includes performing system, data and process modelling, as well as analysis and planning to design OST solutions that meets the business needs, including financial guidelines and estimates. Design details may include hardware, network, software, data mapping, process, integration and workflow design and development. Integration design is focused on financial, human resources and property management systems for internal and client requirements. This role requires research and partnering with client service experts, information security, compliance, system administration, system architects, Newmark and vendor/partner product developers, as well as direct client engagement in support of technical and functional requirements development.Roadmap & Go-to-MarketThe OST Product Manager will produce a comprehensive global product functional solution stack and roadmap that presents and effectively communicates the solution and how it meets the service line and client requirements through an iterative process. This includes development of a product or platform strategy including maintaining and controlling a technology roadmap including future deliverables targeted for near and future communicated release dates.The OST Product Manager maintains the product technology roadmap in coordination with primary technology vendors and developers (including integration & business intelligence teams) key service line stakeholders, technology leadership, solution, delivery and support teams. The OST Product Manager may develop and participate in the execution of technical design, providing continued guidance and decision making throughout the design and development phases, providing test planning and user acceptance performance or coordination of resources as well as documenting any significant design changes, solution approaches to the knowledge base in support of best practices in solution deployment and support.SolutioningAs a technology visionary, the OST Product Manager will consult and recommend strategic solutions to the business, other technology platform leads and customers. Solution expertise includes knowledge of Newmark's global technologies, competitor technologies as well as emerging industry trends and capabilities in support of product innovation.Product Management DisciplineActively help to develop, train and promote a product management discipline to accelerate demand, ensure consistency, and increase the value to both clients and Newmark service lines globally.Primary Duties:This position has matrixed responsibilities across business and technology departments and functions. Partnering with adjacent functions such as client transitions, client support, account management, and service line delivery is essential. Mentoring of matrixed resources is expected but management of direct reports is not expected in the near term.Primary duties include:

  • 15% Client Business Development / Consulting / Yellow Pad / Sales Efforts
  • 10% Product Management Discipline

Guidance will include weekly / bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with your direct supervisor, team monthly and quarterly meetings with GOS Technology leadership and Platform / Product Management team members. Release Management and go-to-market solutions may require process implementation, consulting and implementation management with early client adopters, including implementation and best practice documentation toolsets to support transition to standardized product marketing, delivery and support.Technical and Functional Requirements:Technical fluency required with the following:
  • Microsoft Office 365, including Powerpoint, Project, Visio and SharePoint
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Product Management Methodologies and Toolsets
  • Must be able to use laptop, mobile device and wireless technologies
  • Knowledge of Network & Telecommunications Management
Specific Credentials or Work Experience Requirements:Bachelor's or master's degree in MIS, CS, Finance, Business, Accounting with relative industry experience or education in Commercial Real Estate or related fieldMastery of relevant industry specific practices and functions such as Facility Management, Smart Building, Energy Management, Sustainability and ESG, and other Buildings or Facilities focused technology solution capabilities. Understanding of workplace relevant business processes and functions such as occupant service request, equipment management, reactive and preventative maintenance, inspections, energy bill payment, energy management, sustainability program management, smart building operations are highly preferred.Product Management and specifically ITIL and SDLC experience is preferred as well.Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience in providing SDLC solutions with a focus in supplier management, service requests, contact management, contract management, lease administration, and project management. This is required to understand and meet very detailed process and reporting requirements as they vary across different client verticals (ex. government, healthcare, corporate, and retail)
  • Strong hands-on analytical skillset with attention to detail required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including management of executive presentations required
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships across a global, multi-layered organization

  • Comfortable in an executive presentation setting, internally and to customers
  • Able to articulate a competitive product vision and roadmap to a non-technical audience including clients

Salary: $225,000 max annuallyThe expected base salary for this position is a maximum of $225000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.
