- Work with proposal project teams to develop compelling, engaging, and persuasive design solutions and layouts for proposal documents using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) that align with proposal objectives and the target audience.
- Participate in storyboarding and document set-up meetings and identifies where artwork and editorial illustrations can strategically be used.
- Lead design efforts to communicate complex, technical ideas and solutions through customized, easy-to-understand graphics and visualizations (e.g., infographics, diagrams, maps).
- Develop editorial layouts and designs for longer documents (20+ pages) that deliver on the design principles of balance, hierarchy, readability, and consistency to achieve a captivating, clear, and easy to read document.
- Logically organize and structure proposal document sections and page layouts to flow and align with RFQ/RFP procurement instructions and document set-up requirements.
- Perform document reviews and quality control checks to ensure layout themes and design styles are standardized and uniform across the proposal document and are compliant with RFQ/RFP procurement instructions.
- Package design files for final production/print/publication and supports the proposal team with document print and assembly efforts including coordination with print shops for covers, tabs, etc.
- Work on the development and layout of multiple proposal documents with quick turnaround deadlines.
- Create logos, flyers, slide decks, leave-behinds, and other creative assets as directed for proposal project team use.
- Maintains a library of proposal document templates and graphics assets.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in Graphic Design, Media Arts, or related creative field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Solid understanding of editorial illustration and how to place, arrange, and format content to maximize visual appeal and communication of key messages.
- Layout and design experience with large publication documents.
- Knowledge of layout typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to work on multiple tasks or projects at various levels of completion.
- Can complete projects with minimal supervision and basic art direction as well as working in teams.
- Ability to coordinate with outside agencies, photographers, printers, etc.
- Willingness to work beyond office hours.
- Travel is required.
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.

- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
- Work primarily in an office environment.
- Frequently sits for extended periods of time.
- Frequently use a computer keyboard and office related equipment.
- Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping or bending.
- Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
