The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement as well as gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications. This position will work closely with business leadership and IT teams to define and document system processes and functionality. The Business Systems Analyst will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that system solutions align with business objectives and requirements. This role will participate in system testing and support system implementation and training activities. This role will report directly to the IT Director. Must be located in close proximity to Wilsonville, Oregon as this position requires on-site presence at our corporate officeRequirements

  • Evaluate and document business processes, identify gaps, and propose improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create, maintain, and review business process models, data flows, business requirements, use cases and test cases.
  • Develop written and verbal business systems impact analysis for risk evaluation and/or identification of new systems or enhancements.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for software development, system enhancement, and integration projects.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and develop system solutions that meet business needs to drive user adoption of core business systems, including supportive initiatives and training.
  • Create and maintain system documentation including process flows, use cases, test cases, and user manuals.
  • Participate in system testing, including creating and executing test scripts, and ensuring that system solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support system implementation activities, including data migration, system configuration, and user training.
  • Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for system issues.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in business processes and system solutions, documenting and fully understanding systems/applications, business rules/processes, data models/flows, and integrations.
Experience Required:
  • 3-5 years’ experience designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process.
  • Advanced knowledge of standard Business System Analyst principles and practices
  • Prior experience maintaining business systems - ERP, CRM, Reporting, etc.
Competencies Required:
  • Ability to research data definition, usage and flow to gain expertise in existing systems.
  • Ability to create new business processes and data usage to promote efficiency.
  • Strong relationship management, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve and escalate problems
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate using verbal, written and presentations skills
  • Ability to summarize business cases, system information and concepts and clearly communicate with leadership
  • Ability to create project plans or execute pre-existing plans
Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of standard Business System Analyst principles and practices
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move products weighing up to 25 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing and pulling
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance
Work Environment:
  • Ability to remain at a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must live within an agreed upon location/ geography to service customers and employees
