- Sets the day-to-day objectives for direct reports while also owning the long-term strategy and operational direction of the camera and sensor packaging production control team. Assists direct reports in coordinating efforts with quality, manufacturing engineering and other support groups to process discrepant material in a timely fashion.
- Assists Associate Director in managing department budgets. Leads in the implementation of inventory control and ensures monthly and yearly inventory activities (cycle counts) are achieved.
- This is a “working manager” position. Approximately 30% – 40% of weekly work schedule is devoted to report generation, high level analysis, and staff management. Remaining work time will be used to support direct program activities as an individual contributor.
- Uses MRP system (SAP), UX interface (CMES), Microsoft Suite, and other software applications to analyze data and create reports. Reports may be ad-hoc as requested by manager for publication within and or outside of department.
- Implements plans and prepares data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required. In conjunction with engineering, ensures that material master data is accurate and compliant.
- Sets material and assembly priorities with factory management, value stream leads, and program management to ensure adherence to Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- This position is an onsite role.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Advanced Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Experience in the infrared or microelectronics industry is highly desired.
- APICs Certification.
- Experience with SAP or similar MRP system.
