Our mission is to design world-class equipment, components, and system upgrades that provide solutions to long-standing problems with blast equipment.General DescriptionUnder the direction of the Electrical Manager, the Facility Maintenance Lead will be instrumental in maintaining all building functions. This will include taking ownership of the maintenance tasks as assigned and taking initiative. This position will sometimes work with the Maintenance team at the BCT Cast facility to coordinate any work between buildings including equipment and personnel.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Direct, plan and coordinate operations for the facility maintenance department to minimize facility downtime and maximize production.
  • Ensure focus on safety when completing all tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Develop and maintain an effective facility maintenance program, including preventative maintenance and critical component inventory. IE Tool crib
  • Utilize and manage outside vendors, consultants, and sub-contractors in conjunction with engineering and purchasing departments to supplement company resources when required.
  • Work closely with production control and manufacturing departments to schedule maintenance and / or repairs at appropriate times.
  • Maintain the training of maintenance personnel.
  • Develop and complete maintenance and routine tasks to ensure functional operation and reliability of BCT assets both moveable and fixed.
  • Develop and maintain P.M. logs on all facility related equipment.
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, etc.
  • Responsible for being the point of contact for all facilities operations including contact with building ownership.
  • Maintain all p.m.'s on fleet vehicles and updating p.m. logs.
  • Delegate and assigns tasks to maintenance personnel as needed.
  • This position requires occasional local travel as needed. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record to use BCT vehicles.

  • Basic understanding of ERP systems preferred.
Education and/or Experience
  • Requires high school or equivalent degree and three to five years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift certification or three to five years of forklift driving experience.
  • Three to five years' experience managing maintenance on a facility as well as performing maintenance (and troubleshooting) on building systems.
  • Proficient in writing or creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), preventative maintenance checklists,) and work instructions.
