The successful candidate will work alongside other engineers, designers, and drafters to develop construction work packages within the chemical and refining industry. This position is geared toward launching a recent graduate into a growth driven path to success working projects from conception through construction.Applicants should have the ability to:
  • Perform job responsibilities under direction of Project Manager or a Senior Mechanical Engineer
  • Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for review and approval
  • Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Perform calculations for detailed segments of a project such as pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.
  • Work with Project Engineers and Designers to ensure that engineering standards are applied correctly
  • Review equipment and piping drawings, layouts, and material specifications to ensure they match ISC and Client standards and design requirements
  • Assist with mechanical drawing production when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Entry-Level Position
  • Co-Op or Internship experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferred but not required
  • Licensed Engineer in Training (EIT) or the ability to become licensed
  • Knowledge and ability to apply industry specifications and codes for equipment and pipe design
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to problem solve and thrive when priorities and deadlines change
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • AutoCAD or 3D Design Software experience preferred
  • TWIC Card or the ability to acquire one
  • Ability to perform job walks, field sketches, assist surveying team, and trace lines in client
