Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job DescriptionThis role involves designing various auxiliary hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling water systems for hydroelectric turbine units. The engineer will oversee, direct, and perform engineering work associated with the design of these systems, manage and coordinate project work of associates, and create written specifications for the design, manufacture, and installation of hydraulic governor equipment, hydraulic cylinders, pressure vessels, and auxiliary systems/skids. They will specify pumps, motors, valves, fittings, oil, instrumentation, and other components to meet contract requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities
  • Design auxiliary hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling water systems for hydroelectric turbine units.
  • Oversee, direct, and perform engineering work associated with these systems.
  • Manage and coordinate project work of associates.
  • Create written specifications for the design, manufacture, and installation of hydraulic governor equipment, hydraulic cylinders, pressure vessels, and auxiliary systems/skids.
  • Specify pumps, motors, valves, fittings, oil, and instrumentation to meet contract requirements and industry standards.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in mechanical engineering and system design.
  • Experience in instrumentation, piping, and mechanical components/systems design.
  • Strong skills in 3D modeling, primarily using NX software and AutoCAD.
  • Project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • 4+ years of 3D modeling experience with proficiency in AutoCAD; NX proficiency is preferred.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $58.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
