Scope of RoleThis Engineering Project Manager – Connected Products – is responsible for planning, collaboration, and execution within a cross-function development team delivering product solutions that enhance Regal Rexnord’s Connected Solutions portfolio. This leadership role engages in the reoccurring planning cycles, facilitating work sizing, schedule development, resource allocation, and alignment to the quarterly delivery commitments that are integrated into execution management systems. Development projects consist of a mix of hardware and software solutions supported by a team proficient in both waterfall and Agile methodologies across the product lifecycle. Projects typically serve Regal Rexnord divisions and require a partnered approach focused on transparent communications, rapid proof-of-concept development, stakeholder value delivery, and leadership that bridges Connected Solutions processes with the divisional business and operational workflows.The ideal candidate brings proven project management experience in new product development for highly engineered hardware and digitally enabled platforms, with exposure extending into operation sites and business processes. They are skilled in waterfall methodologies, experienced in agile software development and committed to continuous improvement. They excel at leading global teams to consistently deliver commitments. Must be self-motivated, promote team accountability, communicate clarity, and be an effective problem-solver who overcomes barriers and mitigates risks to drive business results.Connected Solutions is part of a fast-paced, high-growth business seeking a team member with a strong sense of ownership, drive, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. This is a hybrid role located at the downtown Milwaukee, WI office.Key ResponsibilitiesLead global cross-functional team from planning through completion for hardware, software, and connected product platform projects.Define and align scope, objectives, schedules, budget, and resource plans with business goals; facilitate quarterly planning cycles and delivery commitments.Apply both waterfall and Scaled Agile methodologies; lead Agile ceremonies and manage dependencies across workstreams.Facilitate works breakdown structure, populate management systems (Jira and Confluence), ensure data integrity during ongoing execution for milestone % complete, risk mgmt., burn down and velocity charts with visual mgmt.Monitor and trend project performance, identify improvement opportunities and implement improvements.Serve as the primary point of contact for divisional stakeholders, managing communications, ensuring alignment.Champion a project team culture of accountability, transparency, proactive risk mitigation, urgency, and data-driven decision-making.Ensure process adherence, hold retrospectives to identify, and advance continuous improvement opportunities.Lead structured problem-solving efforts using tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA, and 8D.Represent the project team in leadership reviews with clear updates, decision-ready proposals, and follow-through on actions.Ability to independently manage projects with the discipline to consistently focus on top priorities.Professional Experience/QualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline/equivalent)5 years of Project Management experience, preferably in New Product DevelopmentWaterfall project mgmt. required, Agile/SCRUM experience preferred. PMP or SCRUM Master Certs., are a plus.Ability to lead cross-functional, multi-location projects in a global organization is a mustProcess based, continuous improvement mindset, skilled in structured problem-solving and mitigation actionsEffective executor, gets things done, a track record of delivering complex transformation programsEffective communicator. Demonstrates strong executive presence and the ability to interact with Leadership Team and outside partners.
