Overview:Deli Helper Clerks provide excellent customer service at the deli counter and other deli stations. They perform basic food prep, package deli items and clean in the deli area. Main Job Responsibilities:Provide excellent, professional customer servicePerform basic food preparation in accordance with PCC recipesCounter and barista service, when needed during business operating hoursDishwashing and cleaning in the deli and production areasPackaging and retail merchandisingEnsures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are metBecomes knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods and prepared foodsEnsures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met Qualifications and Skills:Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer serviceAvailable to work a variety of shifts including mornings and weekendsAble to work in a fast pace kitchen environmentPrevious food preparation experience preferredAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of specialty and prepared foods preferredBasic math skills for measurement and scale functionsExcellent communication skillsMust be able to meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly * A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is requiredBenefits and Perks:
