Degree Level: Master's DegreeJob Description:Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate OCS R&D activities related to new product design, design review, prototype, key performance control,
  • Work with chief designer, verify design concept and implementation feasibility, draft key optical component specifications
  • Develop methodology for new product integration and manufacture
  • Collaborate with engineering team and manufacture team for OCS performance improvements, manufacture failure analysis and efficiency improvement
  • Work with suppliers for developing key optical components and LC assemblies, develop methodology for key component quality control and examination
  • Lead Experimental investigation and trouble shooting regarding to the feedback of performance issue from production line
  • Develop methodology for test and examination of key optical components, subassemblies, lead component quality control activities.
Education & Experience
  • MS or higher degree in physics, optics.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience.
Skills
  • Multidisciplinary background in optics, physics and materials science, electro-optics and liquid crystal technology experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and hand-on experience with development of optical module and devices in telecom industries.
  • Team management experience in optical product development.
  • Effectively managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • Ability to supervise the work group.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Skill in optical simulation including ray tracing ( Zemax), EO of LC, polarization analysis, optical birefringence and physical optics and interference related
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email, internet access and the ability to develop tools and/or special applications within these packages,
  • Python, C++ , parallel computing skill are prefered
Working Conditions
  • May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
  • Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
  • May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive's needs
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings
