- Coordinate OCS R&D activities related to new product design, design review, prototype, key performance control,
- Work with chief designer, verify design concept and implementation feasibility, draft key optical component specifications
- Develop methodology for new product integration and manufacture
- Collaborate with engineering team and manufacture team for OCS performance improvements, manufacture failure analysis and efficiency improvement
- Work with suppliers for developing key optical components and LC assemblies, develop methodology for key component quality control and examination
- Lead Experimental investigation and trouble shooting regarding to the feedback of performance issue from production line
- Develop methodology for test and examination of key optical components, subassemblies, lead component quality control activities.
- MS or higher degree in physics, optics.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience.
- Multidisciplinary background in optics, physics and materials science, electro-optics and liquid crystal technology experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and hand-on experience with development of optical module and devices in telecom industries.
- Team management experience in optical product development.
- Effectively managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Ability to supervise the work group.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Skill in optical simulation including ray tracing ( Zemax), EO of LC, polarization analysis, optical birefringence and physical optics and interference related
- Proficient computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email, internet access and the ability to develop tools and/or special applications within these packages,
- Python, C++ , parallel computing skill are prefered
- May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
- May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive's needs
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings
