The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day purchasing activities while supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. This role balances transactional procurement with supplier relationship management, cost analysis, reconciliation, and process improvement. The Procurement Specialist collaborates with multiple departments to ensure goods and services are acquired on time, at the best value, and in compliance with organizational policies and standards. This is an individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:· Manage end-to-end purchasing for assigned categories, including materials, equipment, and services.· Develop and issue RFQs/RFPs, analyze bids, and negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.· Contributes to sourcing strategies and implements cost reduction initiatives in alignment with business goals· Monitor vendor performance, resolve issues related to delivery, pricing, or quality, and recommend supplier improvements.· Reviews supplier contracts for compliance, risk, and cost effectiveness; liaises with legal when needed.· Track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries; expedite or delay shipments as required.· Perform regular reconciliations of purchase orders, invoices, and credit card statements to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain compliance with financial reporting standards.· Verify invoice accuracy, resolve price variances, and ensure proper general ledger (GL) coding.· Maintain procurement records, contracts, and purchase orders in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.· Develop centralized purchasing strategies to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency· Work collaboratively with finance, operations, and accounting teams to support business needs, while serving as an individual contributor without direct supervisory responsibilities.· Create reports for management.Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field preferred.· 2–4 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement.· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.· Knowledge of RFQ/RFP processes, contract terms, and compliance requirements.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or procurement software preferred.· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.· Effective written and oral communication skills.· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Salary $64,00-$67,000.
