- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.

- Assume responsibility for clinical management and financial integrity of unit/department.
- Assumes responsibility for employee, physician, and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain responsibility for quality of care delivered within department.
- Provide leadership, coachin, and counseling to department employees.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to improve patient care delivery.
- Identify and refer issues to administrative line officer as appropriate.
- Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
- Function as clinical resource for staff.
- Function as liaison to patients, families, staff, and physicians.
- Assist with development/revision of respiratory policies and procedures.
- Complete departmental competencies.
- Responsible for departmental schedule.
- Coordinate internal/external staff education.
- Complete evaluation and monitor certifications.
- Organize employee orientation.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT-State), or Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT), or Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State) required.
- Prior related patient care experience required.
- Prior clinical leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Current BLS and PALS required.
