Categories: Drexel University, College of Arts & SciencesJob SummaryThe Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track (NTT) teaching position with demonstrated expertise in teaching undergraduate and graduate level psychology courses in on-campus, online, and hybrid modalities. The successful candidate will have a passion for excellence in teaching and in active, student-centered learning with a desire to further invigorate the curriculum around key competencies and experiential learning missions. Candidates should be trained in the scientific approach to the study of psychology, qualified and willing to teach a variety of courses, with special consideration to those who could teach statistics, research methods, as well as courses in their specialty area.The is comprised of a full-time faculty of 22 individuals, including 18 tenured/tenure-track faculty members and 4 teaching faculty members. The Department has a moderate-sized undergraduate program, a terminal MS in Psychology program, and highly ranked doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology, Law and Psychology, and Applied Cognitive and Brain Sciences.Ideally, a candidate that can start by September 2025 or January 2026, as appropriate. Appointments will be 1 year with the potential for renewal of a 3-year contract.Essential Functions
  • Teach a workload of 4 courses per term (36 credits), across Fall, Winter, and Spring terms
  • Provide service to the college and department.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD or Doctorate in Psychology or other closely related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in higher education.
  • Expertise in teaching undergraduate and graduate level psychology courses in on-campus, online, and hybrid modalities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral training in psychology.
  • Several years of experience teaching in a higher education environment.
