Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Smiths employs c.16,000 colleagues in over 50 countries.Job DescriptionEntry Level - starts at $16.50/hr. plus a $1.00/hr shift differential for 2nd shift.2nd Shift hours: Monday through Thursday 3:15 pm to 1:45 amSTS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Marker to join the team. This position is responsible for the accurate labeling of parts and assemblies using various marking methods.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understands engineering drawings, factory orders, and routers to determine marking requirements
  • Use the appropriate marking method (Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen, Ink) to clearly and correctly identify materials, test pieces, and other assemblies as required
  • Barcode scan or manually enter identification requirements in the computer
  • Manually transfer ink marking onto part surfaces
  • Pre-form aluminum tags before assembly
  • Apply aluminum tags into place
  • Assemble stainless tags onto hoses and tubes
  • Assemble shrink sleeve over marking as required and set in place
  • Regularly lift up to 10lbs and occasionally up to 25lbs
  • Regularly and dependably to work on time
  • Other duties as assigned
