Job SummaryWorking as the Laundry Production Manager, you are responsible for overall management and administrative oversight in the distribution, collection, and stewardship of Linen Utilization within the designated health system.Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the development and training of the staff efficiently to ensure the highest quality product is dispersed and maintained on the patient floors.
- Leads the department with financial management of the costs and expenses in the operational efficiency of the linen program.
- Assists in assuring the cost-effective operation, while maintaining a safe work environment for the staff.
- Acts as a liaison with the leadership team to assure the safe operation and upkeep of all equipment
- Assists Human Resources Manager to ensure all human resource issues such as training, regulatory compliance, staffing, payroll and benefit administrations for the entire staff are scheduled and completed within policy requirements
- Participates in safety committee and oversees the regulatory compliance for all required agencies; knowledge of HLAC, OSHA and JACHAO requirements
- Attends, participates, and documents laundry plant surveys.
- Conducts and completes annual performance appraisals of staff as well as disciplinary/coaching for improvement procedures
- Assists the Resident Regional Director in forecasting for capital requests/expenditures; helps to control and reduce overall cost.
- Develops action plans and Personal Development Plans (PDP) for current supervisory team, assuring their growth and success; must be able to develop a succession plan for his/her position so as the business grows there is a successful development of our corporate culture when new and additional job opportunities present themselves
- BS/BA in Management or equivalent work experience preferred
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years operations/management experience - preferably laundry operations with large-scale experience in management or commercial field required
- Multi site management experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
