- Responsible for the daily execution of scheduled and non-scheduled repairs and other activities to minimize equipment down time.
- Lead the development of an efficient line operation that meets or exceeds quality, food safety, people safety, service and cost requirements.
- Develop and coach members of the maintenance team at all levels of the organization to improve people and equipment efficiency for the long-term.
- Accountable for R & M performance indicators.
- Develop budget and achieve financial targets.

- Plan, organize, schedule and direct the activities in maintaining the plant manufacturing equipment for all production lines, support utilities, and facility packaging.
- Direct responsibility for all the hourly Maintenance staff on all shifts.
- Develop the technical skills of mechanics through in-house training programs and facilitate all areas of people management such as corrective action, attendance, PTO, and other plant policies.
- Ensure that all equipment is operational and OSHA compliant.
- Enhance existing maintenance programs/systems for all manufacturing equipment to further reduce plant equipment down time.
- Audit and monitor the refrigeration system and continuously improve processes/procedures by developing and modifying SOP's.
- Coordinate purchase orders and maintain necessary inventory of spare parts; operate within budget.
- Direct responsibility for R & M and mechanical labor cost.
- Achieve and sustain world-class maintenance standards through developing direct reports and associated systems.
- Daily execution of preventive maintenance to meet customer service requirements, quality specification, food safety, regulatory requirements, personal safety, equipment reliability, yields, and overhead costs.
- Coach Maintenance team to obtain the best performance; institutionalize best practices and continuous improvement.
- Build a collaborative working system in the region to improve efficiency, service, quality, and cost.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of food processing equipment, such as pumps, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, electrical and process control systems, and utility systems such as compressed air and industrial waste handling.
- Working knowledge in ammonia, refrigeration systems, preventive maintenance programs, and solid knowledge of industrial electricity and associated standards.
- Ability to work within a diverse work environment and team.
- Proven/demonstrated project management experience and process improvement ability.
- Must be PC literate with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to use computerized maintenance systems to track work orders, PM's, and inventory.
- Must be able to work in cold and wet environment.
- Must speak, write, and read English.

- Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Continuous improvement knowledge/Lean concepts and Six Sigma.
- Master's degree, Journeyman electrical license, or equivalent for Industrial electrical systems.
- General Programmable Logic Controller knowledge and experience (primarily AB, Tele Mecanique and GE Fanuc for troubleshooting and training purposes)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Experience with FDA, USDA, 3A, ISO9001, AIB, and/or other food/quality related systems and standards
- Five to seven years of maintenance experience, within a manufacturing environment
- Three to five years of managerial experience
- BS in mechanical, electrical, reliability, or related engineering field
- TPC training experience and knowledge
