We are The Surprisingly Big Company®, and we’re right in your backyard.Build your career with West Liberty Foods and be a part of an exciting, collaborative team environment!We are currently hiring for:Job Title: Dock Material HandlerJob Summary: Dock Material Handler is responsible for operating the powered industrial truck and forklift to move product, equipment, or materials.Compensation Detail: Hourly Wage starting wage is $21.25 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift premium.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for operating a powered industrial truck and forklift safely.
  • Responsible for pre-operational inspections of the powered industrial truck and forklift.
  • Operate a scanner and learn the required transactions in the process.
  • Responsible for picking both fresh and frozen products.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading trucks along with completing the necessary documentation.
  • Maintenance and good housekeeping duties.
  • Responsible for cooler and freezer operations.
  • Repair and sort pallets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Previous powered industrial truck and forklift experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must have great attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in cold environment.
  • Must be able to become certified operator for both the powered industrial truck and forklift.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
