Job Description


In this role, you will advise, manage and implement security activities in a hybrid cloud environment across a global footprint. You will serve as a subject matter expert in Microsoft Cloud security technologies such as Azure, Office 365, and Microsoft Cloud Access Security Broker among others. You will assist Albemarle along with the rest of the IT Security team in securing cloud initiatives, and will report to IT Security Operations Manager.

This role includes, but is not limited to the following duties:
  • Continually assist with the baseline design and implementation of Microsoft Cloud technologies and concepts to include AAD, EOP, IAM, RBAC, PAM, PIM and CASB
  • Recommend and build policies for cloud access such as location, device based or other criteria
  • Help determine tools, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) for (cloud) security tools
  • Recommend and implement cloud computing environment vulnerability corrections
  • Assist in building incident response procedures for cloud environment
  • Research and investigate cyber threats and security incidents as part of an integrated cyber security operations team
  • Provide support to API communication and assist with connecting security tools (SIEM/SOAR) with cloud environment
  • Understand basic email policy and procedures for remediating email incidents in the cloud
  • Assists the Information Security team in monitoring security systems, reviewing logs, and managing information security systems
  • Identify, analyze, and report threats within the cloud environment, by using defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources, to protect data and cloud service operations
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, investigate and resolve security issues and incidents; Provide Root Cause Analysis support
  • IT Security experience within Cloud Security
  • Methods and identification tools for risks and security threats
  • Knowledge of information security standards
  • Expertise implementing security solutions in public cloud IaaS/PaaS
  • Proficiency implementing security configurations in Office 365
  • Proficiency implementing security solutions in zero-trust networks
  • Proficiency in several security technologies including data loss prevention, encryption, cloud access security brokers, identity and access management, micro-segmentation, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, SIEM and perimeter defenses
  • Solid understanding of security protocols, authentication and authorization
  • Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript and SQL
  • Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to gracefully explain and enforce security measures
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27017-27018 and MITRE
  • Working knowledge in information security areas such as access control, host security (anti-virus/EDR), OS Hardening, network security, operations security, email security
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and communication skills and an ability to interact effectively with a wide range of users of varying levels of technological expertise
  • Experience working in an environment with security compliance requirements. (i.e. SOX, GDPR, CCPA)
  • Great troubleshooting and problem analysis
  • Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and grow with changing cloud technologies and a fast paced business environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Azure certification (plus)
