Manages most advanced & complex portfolio within a given segment of specialty assets, i.e., the real estate, oil & gas, farm & ranch, timberland and private businesses group. Partners closely with Private Bank relationship/client managers - provides creative solutions to complex customer/asset needs.Responsibilities:Manages ownership interests in privately held companies that span various industries, sectors and business types. These interests are held by Bank of America/Merrill Lynch clients in a variety of fiduciary accounts, and responsibilities encompass all aspects that are associated with investments in private businesses. The Asset Manager will be exposed to financial statement analysis, investment valuation methodologies, certain trust and estate fiduciary matters, corporate organizational documents, as well as all aspects of corporate governance.The associate will be responsible for the oversight of client assets that can vary significantly in value and complexity. At least annually, the associate must complete an investment review for each assigned interest. Reviews will include an updated value using generally accepted valuation methods, such as the income, market or asset-based approach, as well as assigning asset performance ratings.Other activities include review of potential new assets, obtaining external valuation work product, and governance activity at the entity level as needed. Frequent contact with portfolio managers, trust officers, tax and legal experts, wealth strategists, as well as clients and their advisors as required.Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in investment analysis or related field required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field desired. MBA a plus
- Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation through the American Society of Appraisers is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in a fiduciary environment a plus
