The Assistant I&E Foreman supervises and coordinates the daily tasks of automation and electrician employees to ensure the safe, cost effective, technically correct installation and maintenance of instruments, controls, and automation (such as Process Control Systems, SIS, PLC's, Automation) and communications equipment associated with oil and gas production.EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent / Associate degree in applicable field is preferredEXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 3 years of related industry experience in Process Control/Automation or Electrical with at least 1 years of related industry supervisory experienceJOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that field operations are being conducted in compliance with all applicable state/province/provincial and federal regulations
  • Ensure that work is completed in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner
  • Formulate electrical, automation, and communication projects including bidding requirements and scope of work
  • Monitor groups operating expenses and optimize costs
  • Interact daily with Facilities Engineers, Production Foremen, Lease Operators, Measurement Techs, and Contractors to introduce, define, organize and complete projects
  • Train others in the creation, maintenance, and support of devices, including developing and testing of logic to automate facilities, selection, support and troubleshooting of field devices, and maintenance of screens
  • Train others to establish processes to resolve issues, introduce hardware and software solutions, and provide support to system operators on the use of the Automation systems
  • Demonstrate safe and ethical behavior at all times and has an obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected
  • Liaise with the Corporate Automation group to understand Company Automation policy and recommendations and disseminate these policies and recommendations down to the Automation team
  • Promote best practices throughout team
  • Mentor, train, review, and develop Automation personnel
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Practice safe work habits at all times

  • Able to travel and work extended hours
  • Position requires operation of Company vehicles, therefor incumbent must maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Company policies
  • Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical background in Cygnet and/or SAP experience preferred
