ResponsibilitiesPeraton requires Database Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located at MacDill AFB.The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.This is a technical position responsible for managing complex database environments, ensuring data integrity and availability, optimizing performance, and implementing robust security and compliance measures. This position requires knowledge and experience in major database management systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL. Database Administrator - Tier 3 role demonstrates the ability to pay keen attention to detail, possess a strong customer service orientation and have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Design and Architecture: Design, install, configure, and maintain secure and scalable database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) in on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Availability: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot high availability/disaster recovery solutions such as failover-cluster instances and availability groups.
  • Performance: The administrator should have experience in DBMS performance optimization and be able to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Security: The administrator should have a deep understanding of DBMS security and be able to implement and maintain administrative and technical controls.
QualificationsRequirements:
  • Min 6 years with HS degree, 4 years with AS/AA degree, 2 years with BS/BA
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
Highly Desired:
  • MCSE: Data Management & Analytics OR
  • Oracle Certified Professional OR
  • Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • Collaboration: The administrator should be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other administrators, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the organization in the cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Possess a continuous learning mindset and be comfortable with adapting to new technologies and best practices in cloud and on-premise environments.
