Schedule: Onsite, Monday–FridayPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Calibration Technician III to support calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical equipment. The ideal candidate has strong metrology experience, is highly skilled in the use of test equipment, and can maintain accurate calibration records in compliance with industry standards.Essential FunctionsUtilize test and diagnostic equipment to calibrate, diagnose, and repair instruments and working standards.Perform calibration and alignment checks, including adjustments, modifications, and replacements.Troubleshoot, test, and maintain equipment, devices, or systems following schematics, manuals, engineering drawings, and verbal/written instructions.Maintain detailed documentation in calibration databases regarding asset status, location, calibration findings, and results.Perform operational checks on equipment returning from external factory calibration.Review 3rd-party calibration certificates for completeness and accuracy.Ensure ESD controls are maintained at all times.Perform periodic maintenance of lab standards used in calibration.QualificationsRequired:U.S. Citizenship required.High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of related experience.Proficient in the use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, meters, signal generators, power supplies, and specialty tools.Experience in several of the following: AC/DC, Frequency Counters, Power Sensors, RF Power, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, PXI/PXIe/SCXI, Torque, Pressure, Temperature, Force, Fiber Optics, National Instruments Calibration Executive, HP Vee, SureCal, Fluke Runtime, MetTeam, DAQ, Generators, Microwave, Avionics, Dimensional.Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain calibration database records.Preferred:Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).Knowledge of general metrology practices and standards.Working knowledge of electrical basics.Key Skills & CompetenciesMust-Have (Hard Skills):Proficient use of calibration and test equipment.Prior calibration and metrology experience.Strong documentation and reporting skills.Must-Have (Soft Skills):Excellent communication skills for safety, quality, and team activities.Positive attitude and openness to learning.Strong team collaboration and motivation.Adaptability in a dynamic, changing environment.Deal Breakers:Must be able to work onsite, 5 days per week.Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (travel required between Rochester locations).Must demonstrate technical aptitude.
