The Operations Manager will provide operations leadership for the Camarillo Aerospace Interconnect facility to enable production, empower the High Performing Work Teams (HPWT), and drive functional excellence throughout the plant. In addition to that, Ops Manager will be responsible for managing continuous improvement activities through the development and implementation of lean tools based on customer requirements, always ensuring that benefits in safety, quality, costs, deliveries, and inventories are obtained. Coordinate the Kaizen Events in the site as well as the continuous improvement framework (CIF). A. Manage and direct site in achieving operational targets & objectives including daily tier meeting structures B. D. Through frequent contact with Plant Manager and other members of management, participate in planning and/or decision making in matters concerning financial and operational problems, inventory control, plant policy and facility/maintenance issues and staffing. E. Mentor & develop production supervisors and team leaders. F. Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency, quality, service, and continuous improvement in operating profits. G. Monitor and measure progress toward quality objectives and facilitate development of action plans to address root causes of negative trends and variances to the objectives. H. Ensure all functional areas have accurate, timely information. I. Assist in the creation of training plans and programs and promote cross-training opportunities. J. . K. Promote a Quality, Safety and Continuous Improvement culture by demonstrating ownership and accountability throughout the supported value streams. L. Participate in the planning, development, and execution of short-term tactical and long-term strategic plans to meet value stream objectives. M. Coordinate execution of manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy customer requirements. N. Ensure appropriate quality processes and tools are in place and being utilized consistently, facilitating training as appropriate. O. Be responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities. Q. Leads the strategy to implement the lean tools in the site such as (Value Stream Map, 5S's, Kaizen, Set Up reduction, Cost Outs, Error Proofing, Pull System, standard work, Total Productive Maintenance, etc.) R. Maintains the Lean council at the plant from the meetings and gathers teams, get results from the people is part of the council. S. Always promote a cultural change towards continuous improvement. T. Lead the strategy to achieve the Cost Out goal and in the generation of the budget for cost savings. U. Analyze financial information in search of savings opportunities. V. Meet the objectives established in the CI vision of the Aerospace group. W. Other various duties and responsibilities as assigned. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum of five (5) years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum of two (2) years of experience leading salaried and hourly employees Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
