Build your future with Project Solutions Inc.Project/Position OverviewThe scope of services includes providing assistance to the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) in its CMS mission at various projects in the Great Lakes and Ohio River region.This role is contingent upon reward.Responsibilities and duties:
  • Responsible for surveillance of construction projects and delivering findings to the USACE Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Delivers surveillance reports on all phases of construction for compliance with plans with plans and specifications in respect to workmanship, materials, installation, and construction methods to government personnel.
  • Become familiar with contract plans and specifications relative to all phases of construction and delivers recommendations of any necessary changes to government personnel.
  • Provide surveillance at construction sites, assists COR to resolve apparent differences, and delivers opinion to government personnel, surveys quality assurance programs related to projects, discusses changed conditions, and delivers advice to government personnel.
  • Delivers assistance to the Government relative to investigating the need for, and preparing data for change orders.
  • Develops detailed inspection requirements and control methods in coordination with Government personnel.
  • Delivers draft change orders and modifications for the COR's signature.
  • Performs contract surveillance, including providing recommendations in contract administration matters, deliver draft requests for proposals to government personnel, deliver cost proposal analyses and prepare draft cost and price analyses in support of audits, and more.
Required education, knowledge and skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of or the willingness and capability to be trained on a variety of surveying equipment.
Knowledgeable and experienced in utilizing a variety of computer hardware and software applications, such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat ProfessionalKnowledgeable and experienced in operating small office machines, such as calculators, fax machines, scanners, and copy machines.Working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations for construction projects.Must be skillful in working and communicating with the general public.Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, communicating, and understanding in English.Physically capable of mobility and accomplishing duties in on-site, field environments.Capable of working independently and be a self-starter.Capable of maintaining professionalism in all situations and environments.Capable of effectively contributing as a member of a team.Possess efficient telephone and email communication skills while being professional, courteous, and respectful. * Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.Project Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, women, individuals with disabilities, protected veterans and minorities are encouraged to apply.
