QC Assistant/Scale Clerk

• Material sampling and routine laboratory testing.
• Set up, clean, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment including scales, ovens, sieves, and other lab equipment.
• Work around industrial equipment and machinery to obtain materials samples from production facilities such as conveyors and stockpiles.
• Record test results on standardized forms and computer data entry.
• Participate as a team member and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Operate scale house

• Answer incoming telephone calls
• Convey any known customer needs and/or complaints with the appropriate people
• Cash/Credit sales – document, verify & accurately fill out sales receipt
• Assist manager with truck dispatch and schedule
• Must be able to communicate over CB and two-way radio

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; technical degree preferred
• Must have basic math skills
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Experience in a construction environment encouraged
• Must be able to work in a rock quarry environment which may include dust, noise and varying outside temperatures both hot and cold
• Must be able to climb, lift, move (various objects 50lbs), carry, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, and twist
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office and computer skills
• Proactive in safety and works well in a team environment
• MSHA training will be required prior to performing work duties
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check

• Medical card does not exempt candidate from drug screen
