SummaryJob Description:Nursing Assistant - Progressive Care UnitPart-Time 7p - 7aWill be required to cover duties as a Unit Secretary and undergo cross-training.The Nursing Assistant performs designated tasks in the provision of age-appropriate care for patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.Obtains and documents reported height and weighs patient on admission and documents.Turns and positions patients every 2 hours as indicated, using proper body mechanics.Assists and promotes activity, ambulation, up in chair and other activities as ordered.Assists patients with personal hygiene, including as showering, bathing, shaving, shampooing, perianal-care, catheter care and oral care.Takes and records vital signs accurately within established time frame.Consistently performs hourly rounds to ensure patient safety and promote customer satisfaction.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent (GED).Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire and required within 90 days of hire.Preferred Qualifications:Certified Nursing License (CNA) preferred.Six months experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
