RN Nurse Manager for Assisted Living

- Maintain a consistent level of professionalism with residents, family members and staff.
- Enforce compliance with all administrative and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
- Make accurate decisions and take appropriate actions especially with regard to changes in resident physical, mental or emotional status.
- Carry out all requests made by the Director of Resident Care and/or Administrator.
- Keep the Director of Resident Care and Administrator informed of resident status and other related matters.
- Assist with service plans and update them accordingly.
- Attend all nursing staff meetings and in-services.
- Delegate assignments to staff and update them as necessary.
- Make necessary rounds of resident apartments.
- Administer medications to the residents and document accordingly.
- Complete 90-day assessments as directed.
- Review medication sheets and physician orders for accuracy and transcribe orders as needed.
- Complete any non-sterile treatments as ordered and as needed.
- Maintain resident records for accuracy and compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Ensure that staff completes all assigned duties.
- Complete necessary incident reports and notify families physicians and Director of Resident Care of the incidents.
- Check for general cleanliness of the area and maintain an awareness of potential hazards and make recommendations as needed.
- Give verbal report to oncoming shift and document pertinent information in communication book.
- Perform other general duties as assigned.
- Assist in the clinic as needed.
- Participate in Quality Assurance meetings as required.
- Assist with 24 hour on-call as required.
- Complete and monitor monthly nursing staff schedule.
- Delegate assignments to the staff and update them as needed.
- Assist the Director of Resident Care with staff evaluations.
- Complete orientation as outlined in the Saint Elizabeth Assisted Living policy handbook.
- Attend seminars and in-service workshops as directed
- Must be able to interact effectively with residents, family members, staff and physicians.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Certificates issued by the State permitting the administration of medications.
- State of Rhode Island Registered Nurse license.
