- Lead the development and implementation of advanced control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Provide oversight and mentorship for Plant teams of controls engineers/technicians, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Architect scalable automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networking technologies.
- Identify and Lead individual improvement projects
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for controls-related initiatives.
- Ensure system reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with Multiple site operations, maintenance, and IT teams to integrate control systems with MES and ERP platforms.
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending strategic upgrades.
- Direct the Development of and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, programming standards, and troubleshooting guides.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with Control Systems Engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens), HMI/SCADA development, and industrial communication protocols.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale capital projects from concept through execution to include leading cross-functional engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of control theory, system integration, and safety systems (e.g., SIL, NFPA 79).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 principles.
- Certifications such as PMP, CCST, or ISA Certified Automation Professional.
- Office and manufacturing floor environments.
- 20-30% percent travel for project implementation and vendor coordination.
