We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and innovation, crafting custom seating solutions that combine style, comfort, and durability.Position Overview:The QA Technician performs visual and functional inspections, verifies conformance to specifications, and documents inspection results. They work closely with production, upholstery, and assembly teams to flag issues, support corrective actions, and help drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency.By monitoring quality at multiple stages of production, the QA Technician plays a key role in reducing rework, minimizing scrap, and ensuring that every product delivered to the customer reflects Gasser Chair's commitment to craftsmanship and durability.Responsibilities: * Product Inspections: Responsible for inspecting finished products, upholstered components, and other components or subassemblies prior to assembly, using the tools and guidelines provided to ensure they meet or exceed Gasser Chair's quality standards.2. Documentation Management: Responsible for accurately recording all inspection results and quality findings in accordance with company procedures. This includes completing all required Quality Assurance documentation, such as inspection checklists, non-conformance reports, pre-assembly inspection records, and any other quality-related documentation necessary to support compliance and traceability.3. Corrective and Preventive Actions: Support the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process by assisting in the identification, documentation, and resolution of recurring quality and production issues. Collaborate with relevant departments to implement effective corrective actions and contribute to preventive measures that improve overall product quality and process reliability.4. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and other relevant departments to address quality concerns, support problem-solving efforts, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.5. Meetings: Participate in meetings with relevant personnel to discuss quality-related matters, share inspection findings, and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.6. Process Improvements: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance production processes, reduce defects, and improve overall product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend and support the implementation of effective process improvements.Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certification in Quality Assurance or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Proficient in the use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in quality management software, data entry, and basic Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word) for reporting and tracking purposes. Prior ERP experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and quality best practices.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The QA Tech at Gasser Chair will be expected to perform job duties that require standing, walking, and moving around the manufacturing plant for extended periods. This role involves inspecting and testing products, which may include lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. The technician must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and cold.
