Enjoy the perk of working just three days a week and relishing in having all week to do other things!POSITION - Brake Press Operator IJOB LOCATION - Chippewa Falls, WISTARTING DATE - ImmediatelyEMPLOYMENT TERM - Temp-to-HireEMPLOYMENT TYPE - Full-TimeWORK HOURS (SHIFT) - Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, 5:45am-6:15pm)STARTING PAY - Up to $22+/hour based on experience plus shift differentialBENEFITS - Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid HolidaysEDUCATION- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent requiredREQUIRED EXPERIENCE - 2+ years experience in a metal fabrication setting preferred; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.We are seeking a Brake Press Operator II to set up and operate metal bending equipment in alignment with established quality and production standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and steel rulersConduct routine maintenance and operational checks (clean tools, oil machines, check fluids/air pressure, safety switches)Select and set up tools, machines, and equipment based on specifications or Lead's instructionsPlan tooling and setup to optimize workflow within the departmentUnderstand forming effects on downstream operations and material behavior (spring back, deflection, growth/shrinkage)Adjust machines and tooling to correct non-conforming outputControl RAM speeds and understand different bending techniquesRead and apply knowledge of load thickness, bend types, tolerances, and compound tolerancesCreate and update machine programs as neededComplete reference sheets for complex parts and set up necessary toolingMaintain required certifications and cross-train in multiple workstationsWork independently while meeting quality and efficiency standardsTroubleshoot issues and maintain low PPM (parts per million defect rate)Retain knowledge of multiple jobs and consistently produce high-quality outputQualifications2+ years of related experience preferredAbility to read and interpret documents (safety rules, blueprints, memos, simple instructions)Knowledge of basic business math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Ability to determine when to add shims (.010, .020)Knowledge of when to use different I-axis blocksUnderstanding of tooling for hemming or offsetsFamiliarity with V-opening in dies relative to material thicknessSend us an email to Stephanie at smay@seekcareers.com or call us at 715-832-1000 to set up an interview.
