
Temporary Occupational Therapist

- Responsible for the evaluation of therapy needs. Participate in the creation of the treatment plan, revising as necessary. Perform occupational therapy procedures as ordered by physician or documented on IEP. Communicate with OT/PT Manager as appropriate to evaluate patient needs.
- Collaborate with other team members or those individuals designated by the agency (e.g. family members, teachers, speech-language pathologists, consumers, etc.) to facilitate comprehensive treatment.
- Serve as a supervisor and mentor to student OTs.
- Participate in the delivery of in-service education programs Participate in formal staff training and formalized in-service training as appropriate.
- Record on patient charts all appropriate occupational therapy evaluations, progress notes, consultations and discharge summary information. Submit all notes, evaluations and required forms within agency guidelines. Maintain such records and prepared such reports as requested by the agency.
- Make recommendations for purchases of specialized program materials, supplies and adaptive equipment.
- Any other duties as requested by your supervisor.
- Physical actions may include, but are not limited to; standing, sitting, bending, lifting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, printing, crawling, running, twisting & turning.
- Vision, speech, tactical and hearing senses adequate to perform job requirements.
- Frequent sitting/ standing and when appropriate, floor sitting with pediatric patients.
