- Reach out to leads through calls, emails, and sequences
- Hold discovery conversations to understand needs, goals, and challenges
- Qualify prospects against Formations’ ideal customer profile
- Route qualified opportunities to the right Account Executive
- Ensure smooth handoff and share context so sales reps can run effective conversations
- Keep lead status and activities updated in HubSpot
- Build initial relationships with prospects to spark interest in Formations
- Nurture early stage leads who aren’t ready to buy yet
- Use structured outreach sequences across phone, email, and social to drive engagement
- Work closely with the sales team to refine messaging and targeting
- Share insights from prospect conversations to improve talk tracks and outreach
- Contribute to team culture and help shape best practices
- 1+ year of experience in sales development, business development, or lead qualification (B2B or B2C)
- Strong communication skills on the phone and over email
- Curious and coachable, open to feedback and quick to learn
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Familiar with CRM systems (HubSpot is a plus)
- Excited about helping self-employed professionals succeed
- Have experience in fintech, SaaS, or selling to self-employed professionals
- Enjoy working in a startup environment where things move quickly
