Our global, 12,000 person technology solutions, products and services client has asked The Maven Group to help find a MISSION CRITICAL Electrical Power Design Engineer to join a design team located near Greensboro, NC.$10,000 SIGN-ON bonus and relocation provided for the right candidate!!Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)Possible some Hybrid/flex available for ideal candidates.Due to the nature of the work, a DoD Top Secret security clearance is required. This engineer should have an expert level understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design. A background in Power System/Module design to include multiple power topology experience from a few watts to kilowatt+ converters.Required to get a look:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Active security clearance is preferred, or clearable to the TS level
What you need to bring to the party:
  • High Voltage experience is a must
  • Circuit Design expertise
  • Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
  • Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
  • Feedback / Control systems experience
  • Power System architecture and grounding
  • Isolated Switching Converters
  • Transmission Line Effects in power systems
  • EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc.)
  • Magnetics Design and High-Speed Design experience is desirable.
  • The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
  • Ability to travel as needed.
