
Mobile Mechanic, 1/C

- Maintaining a safe and clean work environmental while adhering to all Safety procedures, rules, regulations.
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts; aids in developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and parts upgrades; controlling corrosion.
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Maintains vehicle records by noting services, repairs, and parts
- Keeps supplies ready by determining stock levels; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
- Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as needed
- Able to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 100 lbs.

- Performing other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor/Management.
- Understands components (bearings/gearbox/power distribution)
- Can read parts diagram
- Electrical skills: Understands and can troubleshoot electrical system on dozers, loaders, and other mobile equipment
- Hydraulic principles: Process flow, pumps, valves, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience with maintenance of fleet vehicles and/or heavy equipment
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge, Required
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge, preferred
- Valid Driver's license, Required,
- CDL Class B, Preferred
- ASE Mechanic Certifications, Preferred
- ASE Diesel Mechanic Certifications, Preferred
- The Florida Ready to Work Assessment or National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is required for all hourly applicants of Nutrien. Applicants must complete this test in order to be considered for employment with Nutrien.
