And as that mission evolves, we'll be ready.National Security Space in Littleton, CO has an exciting opportunity for a Program Quality Engineer supporting the Space Protection Programs mission area. In this role you will develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. You will contribute by completing a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Engage with internal suppliers, manufacturing, and subcontractor/suppliers.
  • Audit quality systems for deficiencies and drive correction.
  • Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Work includes support of Quality metrics generation and reporting, Cause and Effect analysis, and Program customer interface.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g.
Quality Engineering or System Safety or Electrical
engineering or Manufacturing or Integration & Test or anything else related).
  • US citizenship and an active DOD Top Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance.
  • Ability to work off-shifts and weekends. Position
will require periodic off-shift support for hardware
assembly, testing, and deployment.
  • Some travel will be required for this position in
support of program objectives and procurement
activities.Desired skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in
technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or
equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry,
etc.) with 2+ years of experience.
  • Working well in an environment with results oriented
requirements and dynamic schedules.
  • Experience with LM Space Quality tools (i.e. VECAMs,
SAP QNotes, P2P, Automation Framework)
  • Experience making Preliminary Review / MRB decisions.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
