The HR Coordinator will make an impact by supporting employees and core HR functions. In this role, you'll coordinate payroll and benefits, manage compliance efforts, implement onboarding, respond to employee inquiries, handle key administrative tasks and more. You'll also help advance AMC's strategy of accountability, inclusivity, and employee growth and development.Responsibilities:Payroll and Benefits
  • Ensure the integrity of data in AMC's HRIS system by completing accurate semi-monthly payroll data entry, entering new hires, and other employee status changes.
  • Assist and administer benefit plans so employees have secure coverage, understand services available to them, and have a reliable resource for questions.
  • Assume a lead role in preparing, coordinating and administering the annual benefits open enrollment.
  • Oversee the processing and reconciliation of invoices from insurance companies and vendors to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and help resolve all discrepancies.
Onboarding and Recruitment
  • Primary point person for coordinating, administering, and recommending new ideas for employee onboarding activities to ensure employees are welcomed and develop a strong understanding of AMC's culture and services.
  • Assist the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition with interview coordination and references.
Compliance
  • Maintain employee files within record retention compliance
  • Manage the processing and administration of FMLA and STD claims, ensuring compliance and timely communication with employees and supervisors.
  • Assist and administer elements of year-end reporting - 401k year-end and audit; Welfare 5500.
  • Assist in ensuring the organization adheres to federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
Employee Relations
  • Lead the Events Committee in creating engaging opportunities for staff to participate, both remote and in-person.
  • Act as a first point of contact for employees, answering questions about policies, benefits, and other HR-related issues.
  • Build and foster positive relationships between employees and the organization.
Talent Management
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate and administer the performance management process.
Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or a related field
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Experience with Paylocity or a similar HRIS platform highly desirable
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
  • Physical: primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended computer use. Work involves sitting, talking, hearing, and typing, with visual acuity required for keyboard usage, data analysis, and computer terminal operation. Occasional light lifting may be necessary. Compensation:
  • $25-$28 per hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined by relevant factors, including job-related skills, experience, market data, work location, and education or training.
Location:
  • This is a hybrid role in Schaumburg, IL. Employees who reside within 50 miles of the office are generally expected to work onsite one day per month. This role requires additional visits to the office for new hire onboarding and company events. At times, there may be circumstances that require additional visits to the office for the HR Team.
