- System Administration Support: Maintaining servers and IT infrastructure components, primarily within Windows and Linux environments, ensuring smooth operations.
- Microsoft 365 Support: Manage and support Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Teams telephony.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Provide support for escalated issues from Helpdesk around hardware, software, and system issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Security Awareness: Support security measures to protect IT assets and ensure compliance with company policies. Exposure to FedRAMP compliance is a plus.
- Backup & Recovery Assistance: Assist in maintaining backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Software Installation & Updates: Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems in line with company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior IT administrators to support various projects and initiatives.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Assist in monitoring system performance and generating reports on health, usage, and security.
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in IT systems administration or technical support. Internship or hands-on experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of Linux and Windows systems. Familiarity with IT security concepts is beneficial.
- Microsoft 365 Exposure: Some experience or coursework with Microsoft 365 tools such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and eagerness to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Team Player: Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Basic knowledge of networking and security principles.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
