Dispatcher / Emergency Medical Dispatcher

• Promptly answers all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, collects pertinent information from the caller, determines and assign the level of priority of calls, enters the required information into the Computer Aided Dispatch System.
• Maintains professional telecommunication contact with facilities, field staff, patients and/or their families, and other agencies to communicate activities of personnel, enlist services of other agencies, or provide alternative directions to on scene personnel.
• Dispatches appropriate crews to transport patients originating out of various locations.
• Follow and update the crew's status during transports.

• Excellent leader skills.
• Dispatch experience is preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude and outstanding customer service.
• Dependable and punctual
• An understanding of how patients are transported by ambulance/wheelchair van, common issues which arise during transport, and functions of healthcare facilities.
