
Distribution Engineer I (Atlanta)

- Conduct engineering calculations including structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and protective device coordination.
- Prepare forestry trimming requests and facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition.
- Develop a Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate project costs.
- Focus on design development and coordination for distribution projects (90% of the time).
- Perform occasional fieldwork after several months in the role (10% of the time).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience in power distribution.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Completed ABET-accredited 4-year Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Passion and interest in Power Utilities and Distribution.
- CAD Design Experience in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, MicroStation, Inventor, MATLAB, etc.
