- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation test tools and strategies.
- Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
- Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing.
- Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports.
- Work closely with project managers and developers and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Serve as a specialist, providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
- Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.
- Use modern software engineering tools and methodologies including Eclipse, and Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence)
- Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solutions through demonstrations
- Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government's system lifecycle methodology
- 8-10 years of automation testing experience required.
- On-the-job experience in increasingly responsible positions as a tester for IT systems, with an emphasis on software, hardware, or network preferred
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, JMeter.
- Experience with 508 compliance testing and 508 testing tools like JAWS, Andi.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience conducting end-to-end testing of large or complex information systems.
- Experience validating and verifying application and infrastructure requirements for performance, availability, stability, and efficiency.
- Experience working within application development for federal sector projects is desirable.
- Experience with Test Engineering Methodology.
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Design, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related disciplines desired.
- This federal program requires the candidates to be United States Citizen.
- Any related Certification on Testing is desired.
- Must have a current CBP BI or have the ability to obtain DHS CBP clearance.
- Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Must work well in a matrixed team environment.
- This is a Hybrid position.
