- Manage and lead a department of up to twenty Process Engineers, providing direction and support for both experienced professionals and recent graduates.
- Drive employee development, ensuring comprehensive training, career progression, and effective succession planning.
- Participate in industry networks and allocate resources to implement best practices across various refining technologies.
- Contribute to strategic optimization, cost efficiency initiatives, and technical assurance for operational improvements.
- Set high standards for safety and operational excellence, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversee process unit monitoring to achieve optimal performance and operational excellence.
- Prioritize and execute work processes related to turnarounds, projects, and process changes.
- Ensure effective delivery of technical and quality assurance in management of changes and hazard analyses.
- Support daily troubleshooting and strategic planning by providing technical oversight and resource allocation.
- Build productive relationships with business partners, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Process Engineering/Operations Support within a petroleum refinery setting (10+ years preferred).
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience (5+ years preferred).
- Available for off-hours and emergency response duties.
- Willingness to work during maintenance outages and turnarounds.
- Physical capabilities to climb ladders, walk stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions while wearing safety equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
