We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at a high-complexity refinery. In this pivotal role, you will lead a diverse team of Process Engineers, providing critical support and technical guidance to optimize operations and ensure sustainable growth. Your leadership will be crucial in mentoring and developing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, and adapting to industry changes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a department of up to twenty Process Engineers, providing direction and support for both experienced professionals and recent graduates.
  • Drive employee development, ensuring comprehensive training, career progression, and effective succession planning.
  • Participate in industry networks and allocate resources to implement best practices across various refining technologies.
  • Contribute to strategic optimization, cost efficiency initiatives, and technical assurance for operational improvements.
  • Set high standards for safety and operational excellence, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Oversee process unit monitoring to achieve optimal performance and operational excellence.
  • Prioritize and execute work processes related to turnarounds, projects, and process changes.
  • Ensure effective delivery of technical and quality assurance in management of changes and hazard analyses.
  • Support daily troubleshooting and strategic planning by providing technical oversight and resource allocation.
  • Build productive relationships with business partners, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Process Engineering/Operations Support within a petroleum refinery setting (10+ years preferred).
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Available for off-hours and emergency response duties.
  • Willingness to work during maintenance outages and turnarounds.
  • Physical capabilities to climb ladders, walk stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions while wearing safety equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
