Start your Voyage – Apply NowGet to Know the Opportunity:Voya Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our Investment Data & Analytics Team as a Private Asset - Investment Security Referential Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our investment security referential data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. You will collaborate closely with investment analysts, portfolio managers, and data providers to gather, verify, and organize data on various financial instruments. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining data integrity in the investment domain.The Contributions You Will Make:Data Quality Review: Perform daily reviews on security master data to ensure accuracy and adherence to established policies, processes and controls. Monitor changes in securities data, such as ratings updates and coupon changes to ensure timely updates in the system for private assets.Security Setup: Responsible for setup of security master for newly traded private assets, including obtaining amortization and sink schedules.Vendor Referential Data Oversight: Ensure accurate setup of security master within vendor systems for private assets. Monitor and coordinate changes across multiple service vendors.Market Data Providers: Liaise with our respective vendors to resolve security level data questions related to key attributes of a security. Research and review security level data to ensure consistent detail with respective market data providersData Resolution: Investigate data quality issues impacting data; coordinate resolution with other groups as required. Evaluate previously set up security masters for accuracy, including review of deal sheets, amortization schedules, etc.Key Projects: Work alongside senior members of the team in support of ad hoc projects.Data Requests: Promptly respond to investment data requests from key customers, including traders, portfolio managers, sales, and client service personnel to support questions related to the asset, including questions related to setup.Problem Solve: Investigate data issues, applying a root cause analysis approach to ensure the root cause is understood and documented. Identify steps to solve the issue going forward utilizing a root cause analysis approach.Investment Data Concepts: Continuously pursue gaining a deep knowledge of investment data concepts including aspects of Discounted Cash Flows (DCF) and overall ability to interpret the structure of the asset to ensure accurate data produced within investment models.Focus on Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on existing issues, processes, and controls to develop and recommend new and improved controls and procedural enhancements. Implement data quality controls to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in the database.Minimum Knowledge & Experience:Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.Minimum of 1-3- years of experience in investment management, with a focus on private assets.Understanding of investment products, asset classes, and financial markets.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.Ability to collaborate across teams to devise comprehensive solutions.Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic that is eager to develop and learn.An analytical mindset, strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel skills required; SQL skills, a plusInterest or progress toward CFA, a plusFamiliarity with industry investment platforms, such as: BlackRock Aladdin, State Street PAM, Bloomberg - a plus.#LI-BMSCompensation Pay Disclosure:Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives.
