Sales/Application Engineer - Mechanical Equipment - Wastewater

- Provide timely response to requests for sales materials, technical information and miscellaneous support from company sales reps and customers
- Prepare bid documents for final submittal
- Prepare proposals and RFQ submittals
- Review technical specifications and drawings as needed
- Make sales calls and conduct Technical Sales Presentations to both engineers and end users.
- Assist clients and representatives with equipment selection and layout
- Send information packages and literature to customers and representatives
- Follow up on sales leads, web inquiries, and other related inquiries
- Update sales database, run reports and update missing data
- Track pre-bid checklist (project specs, competitor data, bid form)
- Up to 10% travel in North America
- Attitude: Ability to work in a high energy environment with limited direction and supervision
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly on a consistent basis
- Experience with rotating mechanical equipment
- Communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing
- Ability to complete many different tasks within given deadlines
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting program is a plus
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, representatives and engineers
- Ability to review detailed project specifications and drawings
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline from an accredited university
- 3+ years related experience preferred
