- Plans, implements, and supports enterprise-wide data communication networks and systems.
- Monitors and manages the health of network infrastructure to ensure maximum availability, performing proactive maintenance and upgrades throughout the lifecycle of network assets.
- Implements and maintains security baselines, applies patches, and ensures currency for all network components throughout their operational lifecycle.
- Enforces system and data security through the implementation of controls and logging mechanisms, ensuring compliance with the company's Information Security Policies.
- Leads collaboration with software engineers to develop network automation tools, while creating and maintaining detailed documentation of network designs and topologies.
- Develops, maintains, and updates standards, policies, and procedures related to the management, maintenance, recovery, and utilization of services provided by the Datacom team.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable network architectures and contribute to the development of policy recommendations.
- Maintains accurate inventory of all network assets and ensures the management of service agreements for communication equipment and carrier circuits.
- Contributes to enterprise-scale projects by translating business requirements into technical designs that align with strategic objectives.
- Performs troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network incidents, implementing effective solutions to resolve issues across the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in Network Administration or Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Networking, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
