Student Intern - Special Events & Marketing Intern (Unpaid)Special Events & Marketing InternThe Helen Ross McNabb Foundation seeks an energetic and self-motivated intern to support staff with scheduled fundraising events and marketing endeavors. The candidate should have the ability to accomplish tasks on tight deadlines, handle multiple projects concurrently, display superb interpersonal skills, and possess basic business/marketing skills.This position reports to the Assistant Director of Development & Foundation Events and will have the opportunity to:
  • Participate in coordination and implementation of fundraising events
  • Write, edit and publish copy for event website
  • Social content creation and scheduling for multiple pages
  • Create and edit marketing materials
  • Organize and maintain event contacts and distribution lists
  • Support Foundation staff at live and online events
  • Assist with other special projects as needed
Position RequirementsFifteen (15) hours per week preferred. Resume and cover letter required. This is an unpaid position.Skills/AbilitiesMicrosoft Office Suite proficiency, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a must, particularly InDesign and Photoshop. Experience with Hootsuite and WordPress is a plus.QualificationsJunior or Senior in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing major preferred; other majors with relevant experience will be considered.Applicants chosen for this internship will be contacted for further required documentation and orientation if accepted.The McNabb Center is the region's leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, social and victim services.
