This role focuses on the design, development, testing, integration, and support of banking applications, with a strong emphasis on Java and Liferay DXP portal development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about delivering innovative and high-quality software solutionsKey Responsibilities
  • Specialization in designing, customizing, and maintaining solutions built on the Liferay platform
  • Design, develop, test, and support Java and Liferay DXP portal applications independently.
  • Participate in application design sessions and propose technical alternatives that support business objectives while reducing technical debt.
  • Create detailed design specifications for implementation and ensure high-quality system software.
  • Write and execute unit tests to validate application functionality against business requirements.
  • Maintain application builds, deployments, and configurations.
  • Perform peer reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration and coordination.
  • Stay updated on trends and emerging technologies in the software development industry.
  • Communicate status updates and track time against project deliverables daily.
Basic Qualifications
  • Core: Java, Spring, OSGi framework, Liferay APIs.
  • 5+ years Liferay DXP 7.2
  • 8+ years Java 8 and front end development
  • Frontend: JSP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular).
  • 8+ Java Server Pages (JSP)
  • 8+ Years HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Databases: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
  • 5+ years SQL Server
  • DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes (for Liferay containerization)
  • 5+ years Git
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Search: Elasticsearch (commonly bundled with Liferay).
  • Proven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
