The department applies resources to mitigate risk across operational domains through a continuum of security administration standards, control strategies, and oversight levels that align with corporate needs and expectations.Job Description:Serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) within Global Security Services to manage several MITRE Industrial Security Program customers. Implement and execute area program security requirements for SCI regarding MITRE McLean IC programs. Determine and develop approaches to risk-based and cost-effective security solutions. Have knowledge of government security policies, procedures, and regulations to develop a strategy for overall program protection which includes OPSEC, CI, Physical, Personnel and IT security support; while managing the development, implementation, and audit of your overall security posture. Deliver and collaborate with security stakeholders, multiple MITRE Project Leaders while acting as liaison to sustain security requirements.This position will be available to provide security support such as conference management, visit certifications, and back-up support to program CPSOs as needed. Incumbent candidate will use their current security knowledge to advance their security career and gain expertise in all aspects of CPSO responsibilities:
  • Apply a working knowledge of the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and the sponsor’s amplifying Instructions to assist the day-to-day of the Industrial Security Program operations.
  • Assist with implementation of visitor control, safeguarding, classification management, physical security, information system security, security education, Access Control, locksmithing, Alarm testing & maintenance and personnel security for adherence to all government security SCIF/SAPF requirements
  • Assist the CPSOs with developing, reviewing, coordinating, and executing Program Security documentation. Some examples of documentation include Fixed Facility Checklist, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Transportation Plans, Program Access Requests (PARs), and the Emergency Action Plan (EAP), Disaster Recovery Plan, Continuity of Business Plan, Document and Media Control
  • Manage the control of Electronic devices and other security items
  • Secondary POC for opening and closing of facility, performing end-of-day checks, and daily inspections
Candidate will be able to successfully:
  • Engage and collaborate with sponsor security staff to ensure program security policies and procedures follow company and customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with customers, security staff, program leads, and departments management
  • Possess ability to manage and follow through on all open actions.
  • Collaborate with other security staff for special projects as required
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent in education, or 2 years’ experience and an Associates’ degree, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Must have experience in any of the following; JADE, DISS, SIMS, or Scattered Castles.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively work with all levels of management and key management personnel.
  • Must have demonstrable experience in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) and Concept of Operations (ConOps).
  • Must have experience in Special Programs, Program Security, SCI/SAP security, or Collateral Security.
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in one of the following areas: Industrial or Government Security involving Counterintelligence, Personnel Security, Information Security, Information Systems Security, Physical Security, Technical Security, hands-on supervisory Security Leadership, or Project Management.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in one of the technical areas above.
  • Experience as titled COMSEC account manager or COMSEC policy implementation officer.
  • Experience with SIMS, DISS, JADE, Scattered Castles
