We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training and Development Specialist to lead and support staff development initiatives across the agency. This role is essential to ensuring that employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to serve justice-involved youth effectively and safely. Minimum QualificationsThree years of experience in planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating training programs or academic instruction; human resources, or administrative services; ORSix years of full-time experience in any field; ORA bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found .Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:Design, develop, and deliver training programs for staff at all levels, including onboarding, compliance, and professional developmentConduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted learning solutionsFacilitate in-person and virtual training sessions using engaging, interactive methodsEvaluate training effectiveness and adjust content based on feedback and performance metricsMaintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with state and agency requirementsCollaborate with subject matter experts, supervisors, and leadership to align training with operational goalsSupport certification programs, continuing education, and leadership development initiativesStay current with best practices in juvenile justice, trauma-informed care, and instructional technologyPosition-Specific Details:
