- Gather necessary information from customers/contractors and provide job estimates.
- Expected to achieve or exceed monthly sales targets.
- Generate new leads and follow up with potential leads.
- Meet with customers onsite to provide them with product information and project plans.
- Working with Purchasing team to ensure all materials are ordered accurately and in time for installation.
- Clearly communicate with technicians and other team members regarding upcoming and ongoing installation/service jobs.
- Provide customers/contractors with the appropriate forms and documents to prepare for installation.
- Act as liaison between customer and contractor as needed.
- Attend Home shows, networking events, and other company events as needed.
- Travel through assigned territory to site-check customer residential/commercial properties.
- Proven experience in a sales role.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Experience doing in-home sales consultations.
- Previous experience with residential door and access products or similar skilled trade.
- Basic knowledge of construction, blueprints, electrical, and/or hand tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Teamwork centric mindset with a collaborative attitude towards achieving department and company goals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to resolve issues independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Climate-controlled office environment with continual sitting & use of computer.
- Exposure to weather and temperature elements while performing jobsite site checks and in-home consultations.
